Oakland County Kettlebell had 3 competitors at the National Kettlebell Championships in Novi, MI on Sept. 25, 2010. Dina Ross, John Lesko, and Bonnie Quinn. All 3 competitors medaled in their divisions. This was Bonnie Quinn’s first meet and she received Rank II from IKFF for Women’s One Arm Long-Cycle using the 16kg bell having 111 reps! Congratulations to Bonnie Quinn!! Bonnie also received a 1st place medal in her weight class.
Oakland County Kettlebell Club brought 4 lifters to the IKFF National Kettlebell Championships on Nov. 19, 2011. John Lesko, Dina Ross, Mark Reynolds, and Bonnie Quinn competed. John Lesko fell just 2 reps short of attaining “Candidate of Master of Sport” ranking in Biathlon with the 32kg kettlebells. He did however, attain “Candidate of Master of Sport” in Snatch. Bonnie Quinn and Mark Reynolds each received Rank 1. These lifters did an outstanding job and trained very hard for this event. We are very proud of them.
On August 6, 2011, Dina Ross achieved “Candidate of Master of Sport” ranking at the Mid-Michigan Kettlebell Invitational with 100 reps of long cycle using the 20kg bell. Her next goal is “Master of Sport”. Congratulations!
